St Stephens C of E Church, Broadgate, Preston - £350K
Local residents were at first concerned at the plans to demolish their Victorian church, however the reduced height of its replacement ensured more light and a general brighter aspect to their properties and as a result their opinions became much more favorable. The new facilities include new worship area, parish hall, reception area and first floor meeting rooms. The old bell was retained, incorporated in the new design and now chimes at the flick of a switch.
