LIFT - Litherland - £5.5M
A drastic conversion of the 1930’s public building, together with modern extensions, provide a broad range of health services, accommodating two GP practices; dentistry; dieticians; optometry; and a CHD (Chronic Heart Disease) unit. Including a small triage with diagnostic X-ray facility, the centre will be able to deal with minor injury on-site, easing some pressure off acute trust A & E departments in the area.

Healthport - £2M
Preston Primary Care NHS trust commissioned FWP to provide a new 2 storey facility, the ground floor to provide; Phlebotomy, MSK Physiotherapy and Dermatological consulting rooms, and treatment areas for minor operations. The first floor left as a void for future development. 4 on site pods have been placed on the site for mobile units such as breast screening etc.

New A&E Paediatric Entrance, Royal Preston Hospital - £1.3M
Having designed a new fabric canopy, within an area restricted for space, FWP’s major hurdle will be to ensure that the existing A & E department remains fully functional with as little disturbance to services as possible over the 24 week contract.

The Minerva Health Centre, Preston - £5.5M
Encapsulating the concept of sport and health facilities coming together FWP have incorporated in the design for the new stand at the Preston North End site a Long Term Condition Centre for the use by Preston NHS PCT. This state-of-the-art centre has taken up at least two-thirds of the stand’s interior and includes treatment rooms for; diabetes, heart-related conditions, and problems associated with breathing and lung capacity.

Extension & Alteration at Chorley Hospital - ATC - £1.5M
Work is now complete on the Clinical Assessment and Treatment Centre, Chorley Hospital. FWP have provided designs to upgrade the reception area to a private healthcare standard with meet and greet area including a boutique style coffee lounge with soft seating and the like. Consulting, assessment, physiotherapy and rheumatology rooms have all been upgraded.

Wigan RAEI Entrance
FWP were requested to prepare feasibility proposals for the upgrade of the main entrance building. The proposals included improving and updating patients facilities including reception and waiting areas, a café and retail units all of which are situated behind a Grade I listed building.

Birch Abbey Care Home, Southport - £3.5M
The proposed 60-bed dementia care home will be a flagship example of its type in the UK. FWP are working closely with our client Melton Health Care to create a stimulating and varied environment for residents. Careful phasing of the building work will ensure that the existing home remains in operation and that the residents are transferred into the new facility with minimal disruption.

Abbeyfield House Care Home - £
FWP provided all disciplines towards the extension of a care home in Clitheroe. The scheme provided an extra 12 nr ensuite bedsits and supporting accommodation, together with minor alterations to the existing building.

Ringway House, Dental Services - £500K
Central Lancashire NHS commissioned FWP to convert existing offices in to a new dental centre to cater for the expanding NHS patient waiting list and also provide emergency dental care. Executed within a 10-week contract period to open the dental centre for the beginning of April.
The centre incorporates 4 dental surgeries, including one dedicated DDA accessible surgery, a separate X-ray room and training facilities. With a large open waiting, reception area that provides a warm, welcoming environment for patients.

Whitegate Drive, Blackpool - £1.5K
Whitegate Health Centre is a 10,000m² new build primary care centre, which Blackpool PCT procured through a PFI agreement with Eric Wright Group.
The state-of-the-art health centre houses a wide range of services including an MRI scanner, digital X-Ray, minor surgery operating theatre, dental training facilities, sexual health services, GP practices, community nursing, mental health services, children’s’ services, physiotherapy and podiatry.
Frank Whittle Partnership have provided cost advice to the Trust during the construction period and have implemented some post occupation changes to ensure users aspirations are met, one of these being the commissioning of some new digital artwork to the children’s waiting area.
