The Millennium Needle, St Helens - £350K
The erection of a 20-metre high stainless steel 'millennium needle' with a stairway wrapped around featuring lighting at the top through a number of star like holes was FWP’s solution to provide a focal point to the town and address the security issues of the existing entrances to the roof top car park of the Hardshaw Centre shopping mall. The ‘millennium needle’ is visible from most parts of the town centre, and links pedestrian footways with the roof top car park.
