FWP

Following public consultation with residents and users FWP’s deigns for the refurbishment and extension of the community centre included facilities for; education including an IT Suite and a community learning project, extensive training and conference facilities, office space used by a range of voluntary sector and community agencies, including a social enterprise, a brand new community suite to accommodate community based sport and social activities, a council resource centre, a library express and contact centre. During the building process FWP in partnership with Wardle Armstrong had to resolve issues arising from the presence of a previously unidentified 70metre deep mine shaft.
