LeVel

Guild Hall, Preston

Client: Simon Rigby Group

Value: £5 Million

FWP worked with the client to provide a design to help regenerate the derelict Morrison’s building. The space stood empty for decades, FWP transformed it into a state of the art, fun and exciting leisure venue, with activities for all ages.

LeVel; spreads over 4 floors, each level has something different to offer. Whether it be the slick bowling lanes, the illuminated darts room, the sci-fi indoor crazy golf course, or the ninja warrior- inspired assault course and climbing wall, as well as the laser tag, karaoke, arcade and games, and a soft play area.  There is also an American sports bar, restaurant and a café area.

The design boasts many unique graffiti montages, the most impressive being within the sports bar, where Preston’s iconic Sir Tom Finney starts the sports montage off. The raw timbers and metals combined with the bright neon lights help create a buzzing atmosphere. Several bespoke lights were commissioned from reclaimed pieces of metal, and unique signage transformed the building into a one of a kind.

Many of the products used within the project were BREEAM rated A. The crazy golf course and café area used reclaimed products to help make these areas individual. A local Preston University student was commissioned for the graffiti montages.

The facility opened in phases, the first phase at Christmas 2017, the rest by Easter 2018.

LeVel has exceeded the clients expectations and they are extremely happy with the end result.
