FWP were appointed to provide pre & post contract services to restore the derelict Grade II listed Slackwood farmhouse and provide a new bespoke single storey glass extension.

The 17th century farmhouse is adjacent to the Leighton Moss RSPB reserve in Carnforth, Lancashire.

Completed in winter 2013, the works were of a very specialist nature. They included; preservation and repairs to existing stone mullions, lintels and cills, use of lime render and lime plaster, integration of services including taking up, preserving and relaying existing floor boarding and integration of new glass bespoke extension to English heritage & conservation approval.
