University of Central Lancashire, Preston

Client : University of Central Lancashire
Value : £2.7 Million

Westleigh, a nineteenth century mansion house to the northwest of Preston was originally built in 1864 by Adam Leigh, a prominent mill owner from the area. It has had a long history, starting out as a family home to its partial remodelling into a Cold War communications centre complete with nuclear bunker.

It has now been carefully restored by The University of Central Lancashire into a top-of-the-range Conference Centre.

Westleigh Conference centre has seating for over 300 delegates, seminar rooms, dining areas and a stunning outdoor feature terrace, enabling delegates to enjoy the extensive grounds whatever the weather.
