3 Knowsley Place
Bury, Greater Manchester
Client: Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust
Value: £2 Million
FWP provided full architectural and building services, including M&E, for the £2 million refurbishment of 3 Knowsley Place in Bury, transforming the building into a modern, purpose-designed community mental health and learning disability hub.
A joint investment by Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust and Bury Council, the project brings seven previously dispersed health and social care teams together under one roof, creating a more integrated approach to community-based support.
The newly refurbished ground floor provides a welcoming clinical environment, with 10 clinical rooms, two consulting rooms, two group therapy spaces and dedicated areas for education and training. The upper floors provide contemporary office accommodation and staff welfare facilities.
The hub accommodates around 240 healthcare and social care professionals, including nurses, social workers, occupational therapists, psychiatrists, psychologists and speech and language therapists, and is designed to support more than 8,000 patient appointments each year.
Completed in 2026, the project has created a modern, accessible and collaborative environment designed around the needs of service users, staff and the wider community.
