At FWP, we’re proud to support projects that genuinely change lives. The recently completed extension and refurbishment of The Boathouse Youth in Blackpool is one of those projects.

Located in one of the most challenging areas of the UK, The Boathouse Youth offers a vital service – giving children and young people access to experiences, support, and opportunities that many of us take for granted. From days out to hot meals, the charity creates safe, inspiring spaces where young people can simply be kids.

FWP provided architecture, project management, quantity surveying, mechanical and electrical engineering, building surveying, and CDM services for this 9-month scheme, which involved the demolition of an existing garage and single-storey side extension, to be replaced with a new two-storey side extension, a single-storey front extension, and an attached garage. These enhancements will double the main activity space, offering a meeting area, a learning environment for young professionals, and a dedicated youth gym.
