FWP was delighted to sponsor a charity abseil at Peel Tower, raising over £10,000 to support incredible charity projects across the Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Hats off to David, Jonny, Tim and Mark from our team for their courage and participation.
Karen Robinson, a keen quilter made a beautiful quilt for Project Linus UK; their mission is to provide a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children who are sick, disabled, disadvantaged or distressed.
Our wonderful team helping out Friends of Winckley Square planting trees kindly donated by The Woodland Trust on behalf of Lancashire County Council, The Harris Museum and Conlon Construction.
Big thanks to all of the FWP team who participated in our Christmas Jumper Day! We raised money for Save the Children by donning our festive knits. We also supported our local Preston community by collecting gifts & food for the Salvation Army.
Michael Bates-Tracey braced himself to face his deepest fears as he took part in a series of wild challenges to raise funds for a Galloway’s Society for the Blind.

FWP were delighted to sponsor the Morecambe Bay walk with Galloway’s Society for the Blind. We’ve been committed to this incredible cause since 2014, with this year marking our 9th year of continued support.
The walk was a 6-mile journey from Arnside to Grange-over-Sands.This activity is not just a walk but a living tradition, upheld since the 1500s when the first royally-appointed guides were instated.
FWP was thrilled to be part of the PLACED Academy Summer School hosted at the University of Liverpool, School of Architecture. The day was filled with assisting young individuals in understanding their future education and jobs within the built environment.
It was great to take part in a range of activities and discussions including model-making, interactive games, and challenges, allowing them to develop their skills and knowledge for their future career paths.
Professionals from the worlds of architecture, design, planning and commercial law swapped their offices for the crown green and an afternoon of competitive bowls.
Five Preston-based businesses fielded teams at Ashton-on-Ribble’s Bowling and Social Club’s first corporate bowls event, which was sponsored by FWP Ltd and PWA Planning.
David Simmons, senior associate at FWP Ltd ran both the Manchester and London marathon within a week of each other, both in sub 4 hours, raising money for the Stroke Association, a charity that helped him on his road to recovery after suffering an ischemic stroke in 2017.
Organised by Rivington Barn Bikers, Tim from Blezard was one of 70 bikers who delivered over 200 Easter Eggs to Charities over Lancashire this weekend in the Rivington Barn Bikers Easter Egg Ride.
FWP were very proud to support Rainbow Hub in their recent Workoutathon. 80 people challenged themselves by taking part in three hours of back-to-back exercise classes, raising an amazing £3400
Once again we donned our Christmas Jumpers and donated supplies to the local Salvation Army Christmas Appeal.
FWP were immensely proud to welcome the Mayor of Preston to their offices on 2nd November to unveil a blue plaque on their building in recognition of Avice Pimblett, a former resident of 7 Ribblesdale Place, who was the first woman councillor, alderman and mayor of Preston.
Brad and Chris from our Manchester office recently took part in the Manchester Half Marathon raising funds for PAPYRUS (Parents Association for the Prevention of Young Suicide)
We welcome many local students during the year to carry out work experience. Sam, from All Hallows School in Penwortham, joined our architectural department, and enjoyed his time designing a sports stadium.
We are proud to be sponsors of the ‘Placed Academy’ where young people aged between 14-18 carry out an annual programme of studies based around the built environment. The Academy has impacted participants providing increased confidence and self-esteem, increased skills and knowledge, greater sense of citizenship, along with an informed understanding of careers in the built environment. Our staff provide mentoring and have delivered presentations to the participants taking part in the Academy.
We had fun with the children at AFC Fylde creating structures with midget gems and cocktails sticks – some budding architects in the making!
We once again supported the NHS Big Tea event by baking and selling cakes. It was good to take some time out during the day and stop for a chat with a brew and cake!
