David joined FWP in 1991 as a partner. He is one of a handful of Chartered Surveyors who have dual membership of the RICS as both Building Surveyor and Quantity Surveyor. David has a good understanding of design, he works closely with the architectural team to achieve cutting edge, workable and financially viable proposals.

Brent joined FWP in 1988 becoming a partner in 2005. He is a well respected building professional, as well as having extensive experience as a building surveyor he has also developed his skills to be a very knowledgeable project manager and has developed a good understanding of design.

Daniel joined FWP in 1995 and attained associate status in 2005. In 2019 Daniel was rewarded for his ongoing commitment to FWP and was made a Partner. Daniel has managed many multi million pound projects both in the private and public sector and is effective in undertaking the dual role of project and cost manager. His expertise and knowledge spans over many sectors including Health, Sport and Leisure, and high-end Residential projects.

Neil has worked at FWP since 1994 becoming a partner in 2005. Neil is an excellent designer with a real understanding of the clients’ requirements. During his period at FWP he has produced innovative, workable and affordable designs developing a diverse portfolio with specialist knowledge of sports stadia design and master-planning.

Kate has worked at FWP since 1998, and has evolved her job role to include Quantity Surveying and Project Management through that time. She gained partner status in 2008 and has worked on schemes in all sectors for public and private sector clients ranging from schools and offices through to racecourses, service stations and sensitive heritage projects.

Martin has worked as a partner within FWP since 1993 after joining us the previous year. With his enthusiasm and commitment Martin has developed and nurtured many NHS, Local Authority and private sector clients over the last 30 years.

Nick joined FWP in 2005, as an Architectural Technologist. Over the years he has worked on some very prestigious projects, proving himself to have an excellent working knowledge of construction resulting in the progression to a skilled Project Manager. He is a committed team player with a broad understanding. Nick’s dedication and expertise saw him become an associate in 2013 and a partner in 2019.

Phil joined FWP in 1997, achieving associate status in 2003 and becoming a partner in 2022. Having come from an NHS background Phil’s knowledge of healthcare design is extensive. He plays a significant role in the design process in this sector. His role also includes sports stadia, retail and commercial developments. Phil’s dedication and commitment to FWP is exceptional.

Having previously collaborated with FWP on various projects, Brad joined the team in February 2014 and is responsible for running the Manchester office. With almost 30 years’ experience in the sports / stadia sector alone, Brad has gained a significant level of knowledge and a reputation for consistently delivering high quality, technical designs efficiently.
BA(Hons) Spatial Design
David joined FWP in 2006, and achieved associate status in 2013; he has played a key part in our continued good relations with the local health authorities where the quality and design of schemes have been earmarked as the bench mark for all future projects. His success in the private sector is equally impressive with numerous hotels, restaurants, sports facilities showcasing his designs. David is also a keen architectural photographer that has attracted a number of personal accolades, he keeps the website images up to date photographing all the completed jobs.
Karen joined FWP in 1995 during her time with the practice her flexibility of skills has seen her develop to Accounts Manager, in this role she works with both internal and external clients to monitor cash flow and business performance. Over the years Karen has played an active role in the successful growth of the company.

Tracey joined FWP in 2016 bringing with her over 30 years experience in various administration roles. During this time Tracey has gained extensive knowledge of office working practices and is responsible for the day to day running of our office; implementing and managing procedures.

Guy came to FWP on his placement year from University in 2006 he demonstrated enthusiasm, knowledge and a great work ethic as a result FWP offered Guy a full-time contract on the completion of his studies. Guy has continued to expand his knowledge within the built environment; he has worked on a plethora of projects over many sectors.

James joined FWP in 2006 and achieved Associate status in 2022. James is very knowledgeable within the health and in particular the mental health sector with over 15 years experience in this area.
James is a committed member of the design team and successfully leads on projects to ensure the clients expectations are realised through close relations and understanding of the client brief to get the best out of a scheme.

Having been employed within the construction industry for several years, Jonathan joined FWP in May 2010 on a part time basis whilst completing his degree at the University of Central Lancashire. During this time, he demonstrated great maturity and enthusiasm for his chosen career path along with a keen eye for detail.
Upon graduating in August 2011 FWP offered Jonathan a full-time position and since then he has worked on many schemes from feasibility costs through to final account. He has gained extensive experience within the commercial, residential and health sectors specialising in mental health schemes.

Jonathan has wide experience across all aspects of quantity surveying covering both pre and post contract services and has gained a reputation for professionalism over the years, working with other members of the team to ensure a project’s success.

Kate joined FWP in 2006. Kate’s flair for design and dedication to work is excellent. Since joining FWP Kate has worked on numerous jobs broadening her design skills from healthcare to hotels and education to restaurants. She is very passionate and has a good working relationship with her clients. Kate also manages all of FWP’s social media, including the website, linkedin and twitter accounts.

Michael joined FWP in 2014, initially as a 12 month placement student, before joining the team full time following completion of his architecture degree at Liverpool John Moores University. Michael’s dedication and commitment saw him become chartered in spring 2019. Whilst at FWP, Michael has gained invaluable experience developing his skills across a broad spectrum of projects He builds strong working relationships through direct client engagement and uses his creative talent to achieve the best possible design outcomes.

Andrew joined FWP in 2014 and has over 23 years experience in the architectural sector, including 15 years’ experience of project management. Andrew has a strong knowledge and interest in construction, coupled with excellent design and detailing ability. Andrew is skilled in the production of specifications and has experience in the sports / leisure, pharmaceutical and commercial sectors; he is a diligent and valued member of our team.

Callum graduated from the University of Salford with a master’s degree in Quantity Surveying. Before joining the firm, he managed a listed building project in central London, which developed his appreciation for heritage and conservation work. While Callum has a strong interest in heritage-related projects, he is keen to gain experience across a wide range of sectors as he begins his career in quantity surveying.
Chris joined FWP in 2022, having previously worked as a mechanical maintenance engineer for 20 years. When covid hit in 2020 he decided to have a change in career and gained a Project Management qualification in Agile PM & Change Management. Chris is passionate in what he does and wants the best for the clients he works with.
Chris has recently commenced a degree in construction and project management.

Chris joined FWP in 2014 to specifically bolster the technical capability of the already successful sports / stadia sector. Chris has over 25 years of AutoCad experience and has developed a high degree of skill and proficiency in the delivery of top quality production information. Chris has strong technical knowledge and has experience of a wide variety of projects in the sports / leisure, residential, education and healthcare sectors; his skill and enthusiasm is held in high regard.

Daniel joined FWP in 2022 after graduating with a master’s in architecture at The University of Liverpool. Daniel’s passion for sports and architecture is what ignites his drive and dedication to working at FWP. Daniel is often seen sketching, playing football or adding to his property portfolio. With a key interest in residential and stadium design, Daniel loves being involved in projects from the start to the finish.
Daniel, who began his career at the age of 18, is eager to advance in our multidisciplinary team. His method of working is to constantly ask questions and draw attention to even the smallest problems, which enables him to have productive conversations with team members and determine the best course of action for the client and the project. Daniel has demonstrated that, even in situations where deadlines are critical, he can work effectively under pressure without sacrificing quality.
Emily joined us in Spring 2023, Emily is a proud product of on-the-job training and an apprenticeship. We can already see that her commitment to learning and development will be a significant asset to our front desk operations.
George studied Architecture at the University of Lancashire, where he developed a strong foundation in design thinking, technical detailing, and practical problem-solving.
George is particularly interested in seeing projects through from concept to completion. He enjoys getting into the finer technical details and thrives on resolving complex site challenges. For him, the most rewarding part of architecture is understanding the core issues of a place, devising thoughtful interventions, and then watching those ideas become tangible, inhabitable spaces.
Harley first joined FWP two years ago during his T-Level studies at Preston College, working with us one day a week while completing his course.
Over the past couple of years, Harley has shown fantastic enthusiasm, a real willingness to learn, and has already picked up vital skills that will support his future career in architectural technology. He’s never been shy about asking questions, seeking advice, and making the most of every learning opportunity — a quality we really value.

Hayley joined FWP in 2018; she is committed to ensuring that clients are fully supported and guided through their projects, meeting their Construction (Design & Management) 2015 Regulations obligations and ensuring a dedicated personable service throughout.
Joe is a Degree Apprentice Building Surveyor who began his journey with FWP through a work experience placement. After demonstrating a strong interest and aptitude for the built environment, he progressed into a formal apprenticeship role, combining academic study with practical, hands-on experience.
He studied at Cardinal Newman College and is currently completing his degree at the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan), continuing to build his knowledge and skills across a range of surveying disciplines.
Joe has a particular interest in sports facility design and the refurbishment of older buildings, enjoying the challenge of balancing modern functionality with existing structures. His enthusiasm and fresh perspective make him a valuable and energetic member of the team.

Keith is a highly experienced Quantity Surveyor who has been working in the industry for over 45 years. He studied Quantity Surveying at the Manchester College of Building and became a Chartered Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) in 1989.
His extensive career spans both the public and private sectors, including 8 years with the North Western Regional Health Authority, 2 years with the Property Services Agency (Civil Service), and 23 years in private practice. Keith also brings valuable international experience, having spent 12 years working overseas on major projects in Morocco, Qatar, and Jordan.
Keith has been involved in a wide variety of developments throughout his career, but he holds a particular interest in sports-related projects. His depth of knowledge and practical approach make him a respected and reliable member of the FWP team.
BEng (Hons) Building Services and Sustainable Engineering
Laurence joined Blezard in 2019, he has over 11 years of electrical design experience. He has a keen eye for detail and works well within a team. Laurence liaises with the mechanical engineers and the rest of the project team helping to produce accurate designs in line with the project budget and client aspirations.

Liam brought a wealth of experience in residential and care sector design when he joined FWP in 2024. He has contributed to our collaborative and multidisciplinary environment with his enthusiasm and dedication. He is extremely meticulous and takes great pleasure in how his drawings and details are presented, making sure they are understandable and simple to follow. His attitude toward work and work ethic will guarantee that FWP completes projects effectively and on schedule.

Matt started at FWP in 2014, whilst completing his undergraduate degree at the University of Central Lancashire. Matt has a passion for innovative contemporary architecture and enjoys working on heritage projects and creating public buildings /spaces. He is committed to producing economically and environmentally sustainable designs which provide real long term benefit to a client. It is Matt’s intention to complete his architectural training and become a qualified chartered Architect.

Mark joined the team in May 2023 with an impressive career spanning over two decades in the industry, Mark’s extensive experience will undoubtedly enhance our technical team’s abilities.
Olly is a motivated and forward-thinking Part 1 Architectural Assistant with a strong academic foundation from Sheffield Hallam University. His work reflects a clear commitment to sustainability, with a particular focus on passive design strategies, including PassivHaus principles. He has a keen interest in innovative and environmentally responsible construction methods, such as volumetric and prefabricated systems.
Educated at Wigan & Leigh College, where he completed an HNC in Construction, and later at Bolton University, Paul brings a solid academic and technical foundation to his role as an Architectural Technician.
With over 15 years of hands-on experience using Autodesk Revit, he has developed extensive expertise in Building Information Modelling (BIM). He has played a key role in implementing BIM standards and procedures across multiple projects and within team environments — ensuring consistency, coordination, and quality throughout all project stages.
While his experience spans several sectors, including residential, commercial, and industrial, his primary focus and passion lie in healthcare architecture. For over a decade, he has specialised in this field, contributing to a variety of projects across both acute and mental health services. His deep understanding of the technical, functional, and regulatory demands of healthcare environments allows him to deliver well-coordinated and user-focused design solutions.
He continues to be driven by a commitment to innovation, collaboration, and the positive impact that thoughtful design can bring to healthcare spaces.

Richard joined FWP in 2000; he is an important member of the architectural team, having worked on many large-scale projects in the sport, leisure and retail sectors. As an illustrator, Richard’s role involves, amongst others, producing 2D and 3D visualisations & animations which help clients to visualise a project from the outset.
Ritchie works in our reception, he is incredibly organised and greets everyone with a smile. He provides support to our accounts & finance manager.

Sam has recently graduated from the University of Salford. He has worked at FWP for the past year and has developed his skills as a QS, Sam shows great enthusiasm and accuracy towards preparing budget estimates. Sam wishes to become a member or the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in the next few years.

Sarah originally joined FWP in 2007, she worked with the practice until 2013, contributing to several high-profile NHS projects before taking a career break to raise her young family and support the family business. She returned to FWP in 2020 as an Assistant Project Manager and has since progressed to the role of Project Manager.
Her NHS background brings valuable insight into organisational processes and stakeholder engagement, particularly within complex, multi-agency environments.
Sarah has successfully managed a number of capital schemes across the healthcare sector, with particular experience in substance misuse and mental health projects. Her ability to navigate stakeholder needs and ensure effective project coordination is a key strength.
She thrives on working closely with clients, helping them plan and coordinate their projects effectively. Known for her strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and collaborative approach, she is a valued member of the FWP project management team.

MRICS
Keith is a highly experienced Quantity Surveyor who has been working in the industry for over 45 years. He studied Quantity Surveying at the Manchester College of Building and became a Chartered Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) in 1989.
His extensive career spans both the public and private sectors, including 8 years with the North Western Regional Health Authority, 2 years with the Property Services Agency (Civil Service), and 23 years in private practice. Keith also brings valuable international experience, having spent 12 years working overseas on major projects in Morocco, Qatar, and Jordan.
Keith has been involved in a wide variety of developments throughout his career, but he holds a particular interest in sports-related projects. His depth of knowledge and practical approach make him a respected and reliable member of the FWP team.
BEng (Hons) Building Services and Sustainable Engineering
Laurence joined Blezard in 2019, he has over 11 years of electrical design experience. He has a keen eye for detail and works well within a team. Laurence liaises with the mechanical engineers and the rest of the project team helping to produce accurate designs in line with the project budget and client aspirations.
BA (Hons) Interior Design
Liam brought a wealth of experience in residential and care sector design when he joined FWP in 2024. He has contributed to our collaborative and multidisciplinary environment with his enthusiasm and dedication. He is extremely meticulous and takes great pleasure in how his drawings and details are presented, making sure they are understandable and simple to follow. His attitude toward work and work ethic will guarantee that FWP completes projects effectively and on schedule.
BSc (Hons) Architecture
Matt started at FWP in 2014, whilst completing his undergraduate degree at the University of Central Lancashire. Matt has a passion for innovative contemporary architecture and enjoys working on heritage projects and creating public buildings /spaces. He is committed to producing economically and environmentally sustainable designs which provide real long term benefit to a client. It is Matt’s intention to complete his architectural training and become a qualified chartered Architect.
BA (Hons) Economics
Mark joined the team in May 2023 with an impressive career spanning over two decades in the industry, Mark’s extensive experience will undoubtedly enhance our technical team’s abilities.
Olly is a motivated and forward-thinking Part 1 Architectural Assistant with a strong academic foundation from Sheffield Hallam University. His work reflects a clear commitment to sustainability, with a particular focus on passive design strategies, including PassivHaus principles. He has a keen interest in innovative and environmentally responsible construction methods, such as volumetric and prefabricated systems.
Educated at Wigan & Leigh College, where he completed an HNC in Construction, and later at Bolton University, Paul brings a solid academic and technical foundation to his role as an Architectural Technician.
With over 15 years of hands-on experience using Autodesk Revit, he has developed extensive expertise in Building Information Modelling (BIM). He has played a key role in implementing BIM standards and procedures across multiple projects and within team environments — ensuring consistency, coordination, and quality throughout all project stages.
While his experience spans several sectors, including residential, commercial, and industrial, his primary focus and passion lie in healthcare architecture. For over a decade, he has specialised in this field, contributing to a variety of projects across both acute and mental health services. His deep understanding of the technical, functional, and regulatory demands of healthcare environments allows him to deliver well-coordinated and user-focused design solutions.
He continues to be driven by a commitment to innovation, collaboration, and the positive impact that thoughtful design can bring to healthcare spaces.
BA (Hons) Technical and Information Illustration
Richard joined FWP in 2000; he is an important member of the architectural team, having worked on many large-scale projects in the sport, leisure and retail sectors. As an illustrator, Richard’s role involves, amongst others, producing 2D and 3D visualisations & animations which help clients to visualise a project from the outset.
Ritchie works in our reception, he is incredibly organised and greets everyone with a smile. He provides support to our accounts & finance manager.

Sam has recently graduated from the University of Salford. He has worked at FWP for the past year and has developed his skills as a QS, Sam shows great enthusiasm and accuracy towards preparing budget estimates. Sam wishes to become a member or the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in the next few years.

Sarah originally joined FWP in 2007, she worked with the practice until 2013, contributing to several high-profile NHS projects before taking a career break to raise her young family and support the family business. She returned to FWP in 2020 as an Assistant Project Manager and has since progressed to the role of Project Manager.
Her NHS background brings valuable insight into organisational processes and stakeholder engagement, particularly within complex, multi-agency environments.
Sarah has successfully managed a number of capital schemes across the healthcare sector, with particular experience in substance misuse and mental health projects. Her ability to navigate stakeholder needs and ensure effective project coordination is a key strength.
She thrives on working closely with clients, helping them plan and coordinate their projects effectively. Known for her strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and collaborative approach, she is a valued member of the FWP project management team.
