Rivington Terraced Gardens is a 20-hectare site on the edge of the West Pennine Moors. It contains eleven structures individually listed as Grade II. Formally the home of Lord Leverhulme, the gardens were designed and set out by Leverhulme and Thomas Mawson, and created between 1900 and 1922.
FWP were appointed as Quantity Surveyors on this challenging conservation project, to manage the costs through the development stage and stage 2 HLF submission.
FWP prepared detailed cost plans both for the repair and conservation works to the listed structures and the associated landscapes, lakes, footpaths and steps that link the structures together.
In 2015, the project featured on BBC’s Countryfile programme.
